ASK THE BMXPerts: F-I-T VS W-T-P
Bookmark and Share

Hey I’ve been BMXing for about a year now and I would like to upgrade to a better BMX. I ride street and park and I was wondering if you could help me out a bit I was deciding between a We The People Crysis or a Fit bike Eddie 3. I like the Eddie 3 because of the colors but I like the Crysis because of the better components. Could you give me a hand and kind of tell me what would be a better bike?

  Thanks Tyler,

That’s a tough one Tyler, both of these are awesome bikes. We have always liked the We The People completes but in the years past they have always been more expensive then the competition because of import fees. But this year, that has all changed and now you can get a sick bike for only like $5-$10 more, instead of $40-$50. On the flip side, we have always loved our Fit test bikes, from their base models all the way up. Side by side these bikes are almost a match spec’ wise, both offering a full chromoly frame, fork and bar, sealed three piece, micro drive gearing, removable brake mounts and tech geometry. The WTP comes with 8.5” bars with a front load stem, while the Fit has a top load stem with 8.25” bars, meaning even the ride height is almost a match between the two. Salt parts have a great rep, as do Fit parts, meaning both bikes have a solid foundation. You have done your homework Tyler, that’s for sure, but at a certain point, when you have leveled the playing field that is your budget, you simply need to go with the bike you visually like the most. Have fun with whatever you choose, you really can’t go wrong with these two.
