NEWS: We Roy-blew it!

Whoops, hey…things happen!

Not our first mistake, that would have been not trusting our mom when she told us the iron was hot and not to touch it and having to find out for ourselves, and it sure wont be our last. In the January 2010 issue, and before you ask, yes, we know the future, and no, yours is not pretty, we did an interview with Al Roybal, the voice of the NBL. For once we spelled his name right, and were spot on when we stated his book of quotes was in fact 13,000 one-liners strong. What we did screw up was the sanction (picture us hiding our faces here). His title read “The Voice of ABA BMX” when it should have read “The Voice of The NBL”. We blamed Jeremy Pavia for being overworked, who in turn blamed the UPS man, who quickly turned the whole mess over on Zack in the mail room, who was reminded by Ben Crockett that its really Dan Mooney from the ABA’s fault for bringing this to our attention and causing us all to lose sleep over the matter. Thanks Dan! Our apologies go out to the ABA, the NBL, Al and the delivery man we roughed up out of pure frustration.

While we are taking the blame here, we also neglected to give Shad Hopkins photo credit for his amazing photo coverage of the Dew Tour in Salt Lake. As some of you may know, Shad is not a man to be messed with, so if your magazine mysteriously doesn’t show up next month, you will know why and we will part in saying, it was nice knowing you.
