NEWS: Pat Casey Leads Top Qualifiers for Vans’ LXVI BMX Invitational Finals

With $25,000 up for grabs, it was no holds barred at the LXVI Invitational and with a ton of heavy hitters out for their piece of the pie, qualifying for the finals was no easy task.

Pat Casey- Decade

Pat Casey topped the heap in qualifying, but that came as little surprise as he seems to be getting the best of just about any competition you put in front of him these days. Combos like bars to whips and no-footed can decades helped him breeze into the top spot. Backed up by fellow young gun, Daniel Sandoval, who double trucked and triple whipped his way into the number two qualifying spot, the ages of these two combined didnt even match those of some of their competitors. Gary Young took the number three spot on the ten rider qualifying heap with classic style, like a huge three table, and a closer that caught everyone off guard, a 180 bar over the last jump to flawless roll out. Expect more from these three, along with the other contenders during the finals tomorrow, Saturday, August 25th at noon at the ECSC Beach Festival in Virginia Beach, VA.
