Caroline Buchanan Signs Deal to Ride BOX Components in 2013
ANAHEIM, CA—Cycle Group, Inc. (CGI) is very excited to announce that Caroline Buchanan will ride BOX Components and Promax parts on her DK Professional V2 next season.
“I’ve been a Caroline fan since her World Championship mountain biking days. Not only is Caroline a great rider, but she’s also one of the best when it comes to self promotion and promotion of her sponsors. She works as hard off the bike setting up magazine interviews, photo shoots and personal appearances as she does on the bike. I’m really happy that she will be using BOX and Promax components,” said Toby Henderson, CGI’s founder.
Next season, Buchanan will race using the full range of BOX components, with a few Promax parts where BOX parts are unavailable. She will join Marc Willers and several other DK Factory Team riders who will use BOX’s new Vertex crankset, which features a BB30/PF30 bottom bracket with 35mm external bearings. DK is in the process of building her a custom frame to work with the new set-up.
“I’m excited to announce the news of signing with BOX Components for the 2013 season. 2013 will be my first year competing in the whole USA BMX season riding for DK Bicycles. I’m looking forward to working with BOX and kitting out about 90 percent of the spec on my bike. I’m always looking for that 1 percent on the track, and by teaming up with an innovative company like BOX, I can see a bright future with some amazing product and results to come,” Buchanan said.
Among the parts Buchanan will use in 2013 are:
• BOX X-Series carbon forks
• BOX Delta stems
• BOX Maximus handlebars
• BOX Focus rims
• BOX Hollow 20-mil hubs
• BOX Genius brake levers
• BOX Eclipse brakes with BOX X-Ray brake shoes
• BOX Concentric cables
• BOX Vector crankset
• BOX Echelon and Shift saddles
• BOX Helix seatclamps
• BOX Phase 1 number plates
• Promax IG-45 headsets
• Promax SL-1 stem locks
“We are very proud of the BOX and Promax product lines as they are today. And we intend to continue to push the innovation envelope this year and well into the future. We are confident that the product we are making are worthy of the World’s best bike racers. It makes us very happy that riders like Caroline and Marc Willers have picked BOX components for their bikes,” Henderson said.
Buchanan will make her debut on BOX parts at the USA BMX Winter Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona, March 2.
