The “BIGGEST” event in BMX, hits the deck.
The introduction of the Mega Ramp to the X Games had the public seeing BMX in a whole new light. Within the first year of debuting at the ‘Games it became one of the largest spectator events. What once packed some bleachers now packs a stadium, and not just any stadium, the LA Coliseum, one of the largest venus in the LA area. Thousands turned out to watch Chad Kagy snag his second gold in the event with a flips whip to flair whip, with height on the massive 27’ quarter that continues to go unrivaled. Steve McCann welcomed a second when he joined the double front flip club and pulled a double whip on the quarter. A tie went to Napolitan and Buckworth for third, Anthony besting with a double front flip and Andy with a superman front flip.
2010 X Games Big Air Results
1. Chad Kagy - 91.66
2. Steven McCann - 89.33
3. Andy Buckworth - 86.33
(tie) Anthony Napolitan - 86.33
5. Morgan Wade - 80.66
6. Kevin Robinson - 80.00
McCann had double whips dialed on the quarter, though not as high as he would have liked. Airs were lower across the board with gusty wind conditions.

Anthony may have had some company with the double front flip this year, but over the big gap, he still rules the roost.

Anthony Napolitan was one of the many who hit the deck on the Mega Ramp. The riders attributed the outdoor and dusty conditions to the crash fest.

Kagy doing what he does best, flip whip over the big gap.

Morgan Wade lets loose one of the longest held flip no-handers we have ever seen over the 70’ gap.

Talk about a sweet ride back to the top of the roll in. Beats a pack mule.
