MADERA NEWS Holiday Break Edition

HOW THE HECK DO YOU MAKE THAT STUFF?!?

Before the holiday last week, I took a trip back into the machine shop and snapped some photos of Madera Pilot front hubs being made. With a run time of about 5-1/2 minutes per shell, this is the first step in the hubs completion. Once out of the machine, we send these little guys off to the anodizer to get colored and laser etched. Once they’re anodized, they come back here to the factory to get hand assembled and shipped…  Matt.

MIDWEST NIGHT AND SOME WINTER BMX

4 seasons skatepark of Milwaukee is hosting some Jeff K and Mike Hinkens events this winter to help beat the midwest winter blues. Some are small, some are big, but all are fun. Check out the sites below for details as they come up.

Here, also, is the first midwestbmx jam of the winter:

JOSH EILKEN KILLS IT IN THIS EDIT

After a serious injury on Road Fools 18 back in September, Josh Eilken was back in the saddle of bmx after only 6 weeks of recovery. A beast? Yes. Here’s proof:

WTF!?!?

HINKENS IN AUSTIN

Austin Texas! The land of pro Bmx and beautiful women. Though both of those things are actually hard to talk to down here Grant C and my friend and Andy E and I have met some awesome people and rode some sweet stuff. After a bit of bouncing from person to person we have been shown some amazing and popular spots such as this awesome ditch.

Us Midwest boys spent a few hours here until darkness shut us down.
We certainly had to stop at 9th street as well and though a bit muddy and ill-maintained as of late, we were able to launch off a few things.
