Each frame features an Aussie-inspired graphics scheme in the official colors of the Cycling Australia.  Last month, Intense BMX, Sinz and THE finalized a deal, making the U.S. BMX frame, bicycle and components supplier the Official Product Supplier to Australia’s top BMX professionals. The agreement with Cycling Australia is an extension of a less-formal deal in 2010 where the company supplied members of the powerful BMX Australia Elite High Performance Program with frames, forks, components, helmets and protective gear.

Each Aussie rider will get a custom painted frame with his or her name on it.

The metallic Aussie green frames feature graphics inspired by Aboriginal paintings, but given a modern twist. Each frame also has the rider’s name—Rachel Bracken, Lauren Reynolds, Brian Kirkham and Caroline Buchanan-and the THE and SINZ Elite logos. The team received five frames, one for each rider and one spare.

Aboriginal paintings were the inspiration for the graphics.

For those curious, all the riders, with the exception of Caroline Buchanan, use stock Intense Podium Pro XL+ frames. The smaller Buchanan rides a stock Podium Pro. Late last year, Buchanan received a Podium Stinger to ride until her new bike was ready. She was pleased.

“I rode the new bike at the local BMX track in Alabama and did some sprints on it. It feels awesome. I noticed that it’s super stiff, more responsive than my Ti frame and acceleration was noticeably better. I am excited to race it,” Buchanan said.

The others raced on Podium frames last year, making numerous UCI Supercross mains and one podium appearance.

The Elite HP riders will compete in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa and the United States with a focus on the UCI Supercross World Cup Series and World Championships in 2011. They should have their new bikes later this month.
