Stay Strong donates $5000 to keep Danny Meadows’ BMX dream alive
After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, San Diego rider Danny Meadows faced mounting bills and saw the fast paced lifestyle he loved so much about BMX slipping away. Not about to let that happen, Stephen Murray and Stay Strong stepped in with a $5000 donation to help Danny acquire the $10,000 off road wheelchair he could only dream about otherwise. Having to learn to live without riding himself, Stephen knows all to well having this sort of escape can be to a person. The check was handed over at the ABA So. Cal. Nationals in Chula Vista, CA and the local crowd, some close to Danny, but to many a complete stranger, only bound by BMX donated an additional $2100 towards his cause. Elite racer Tyler Brown has also been personally involved in the fund raising effort and would like to personally thank everyone who helped out by donating at the race, without ever being asked. Just one more example of how much good there is in BMX and a reminder of who’s got your back, when it matters most.
